To Fly a Kite

Today, I went kiting. It's the first time I've flown a kite since I was a kid and it took a little more strength than I remember (mind you the kites I flew as a child were very different...!)

Chris and Dan showed us how it's done

And Dan rode in the buggy

and got some great air!

Dan was a great teacher and I managed not to get blown away! I wasn't brave enough to try the board or the buggy just yet. Maybe next time...

Baby boy

Having been back in the UK for a little over a week now, I've had a great time catching up with friends and family & indulging in those little luxuries I missed whilst in Honduras (like chocolate, hot showers, cups of tea, etc, etc). However, the highlight so far has to be meeting this little chap.

Born on Wednesday morning, little Ruben is my best friend Fran's baby boy and this afternoon I got to meet him.

Hiking & Motocross

Yesterday, instead of having a final English class, we hiked up to a waterfall called Las Golondrinas with my students and the girls.

It took around two hours to reach the waterfall from the park where we started and the clouds & the tall pine trees in the mountains shaded us from the sun.

When we got back from Las Golodrinas, we went into Tegucigalpa to watch some motocross practise. Katherin had decided this is what she wanted to do in celebration of her birthday which is on Tuesday (another March baby!) She even got a ride on one of the bikes which made her day!
